Characterization of barium titanate reinforced acrylonitrile butadiene rubber composites for flexible electronic applications: influences of barium titanate content

The aim of this study was to develop high dielectric constant flexible polymers with a highly efficient and cost‐effective approach using acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) as the polymer matrix and barium titanate (BT) as the high dielectric constant filler. The BT powder was synthesized with a solid‐state reaction and was characterized using a particle size analyzer, XRD, SEM and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. NBR/BT composites were fabricated using an internal mixer with various BT loadings up to 160 phr. The influence of BT loading on the cure characteristics and mechanical, dynamic mechanical, thermal, dielectric and morphological properties was determined. The incorporation of BT in the NBR matrix shortened scorch time and increased delta torque. The mechanical properties, thermal stability and dielectric constant were greatly improved and increased with BT loading. The results suggest that the reinforcement effect was achieved due to strong hydrogen bonding or polar–polar interactions between NBR matrix and BT filler. This is further corroborated by the good dispersion of BT filler in the NBR matrix observed with SEM imaging. These findings can be applied to produce high‐performance dielectric elastomers. © 2020 Society of Industrial Chemistry     

Synthesis and characterization of natural rubber-based telechelic oligomers via olefin metathesis

Metathesis degradation and functionalization of natural rubber (NR) were conducted with 1-hexene, 1-octene, 1-decene, 1-dodecene, trans-stilbene, and 4,4′-dibromo-trans-stilbene as chain transfer agents (CTAs) in presence of Grubbs 2nd generation catalyst to generate NR-based telechelic oligomers that had been a long-lasting challenge due to the structure and compositions of NR with various impurities. Orthogonal experiments were applied and the effects of the CTA type, CTA concentration, catalyst concentration, reaction time, and reaction temperature on the formation of telechelic oligomers were studied, indicating that the catalyst concentration was the major factor influencing the number average molecular weights (M_n) and polymer dispersity index (PDI) of telechelic oligomers. The structures of the oligomers were characterized using ¹H NMR, ¹³C NMR, and MALDI-TOF-MS, which confirmed the formation of the designed terminal groups. The results showed that well-defined telechelic oligomers with a M_n of a few thousand and a PDI around 1.6 were obtained, with potential applications in binder, lubricant and many other fields.     

橡胶轮胎和软管用高强度钢帘线盘条的研发

为了减轻汽车重量,提高燃油消耗,研制了高强度钢帘线用线材。然而,开发高强度钢帘线的难点是必须同时获得高强度和良好的塑性。为了解决这一问题,通过分析拉丝过程中钢丝组织和力学性能的变化,研究了拉丝过程中的分层机理,提高了拉丝的塑性。采用1.0%C过共析钢和优化的拉拔工艺,在实验室可获得4400 MPa级钢帘线。     

基于正交试验设计的橡胶沥青性能影响因素研究

将废旧轮胎粉碎后加入沥青中既可以改善沥青的性能,又可以减少废旧轮胎对环境造成的污染。本文基于橡胶沥青的针入度、软化点、延度等技术指标,研究橡胶沥青的材料组成和制备工艺参数对橡胶沥青性能的影响,设计了五因素四水平正交试验,根据试验结果初步确定了最佳橡胶沥青制备参数,并在考虑橡胶沥青加工安全性的基础上对参数进行了优化,最终确定了橡胶沥青原材料的选用原则及制备参数。     

海上热采防砂封隔器研制与室内试验

海上稠油热采开发过程中,通常采用蒸汽吞吐的方式进行原油开采。为满足稠油热采长效密封要求,研制了HPHT-215型热采防砂封隔器。封隔器胶筒采用特制的氟硅基复合材料+玻璃纤维网结构,并开展了材料性能评价测试。通过有限元分析和室内胶筒组合测试,对胶筒材料和组合结构进行了评价优化。室内全尺寸整机测试表明:封隔器能够满足耐温350 ℃、耐压21 MPa密封性能要求,并开展了高低温多轮次密封性能评价测试。该型热采防砂封隔器的研制成功,为海上稠油蒸汽吞吐多轮次开发提供了保障,具有广泛的应用前景。     

爆破工程费用计算方法探讨

Vinyl-functionalized polyborosiloxane for improving mechanical and flame-retardancy performances of silicone rubber foam composites

In this work, we first synthesized vinyl-terminated polyborosiloxane (pBS) filler, and then incorporated it into silicone rubber foam (SRF) matrix to prepare composite materials through a simple chemical dehydrogenative foaming method under ambient conditions. The pBS filler with reactive groups could form physical and chemical crosslinking networks in SRF, leading to an excellent dispersion level of pBS in the SRF matrix. Moreover, the inserted pBS could remarkably improve the mechanical and flame-retardancy properties of SRF-pBS composites. Intriguingly, the SRF-pBS6 foam containing 6 wt% of pBS possessed a uniform porous structure and balanced mechanical properties (σ_b = 65.4 kPa, ε_b = 56.7%, compression stress 97.1 kPa), thermal conductivity (0.102 W (m K)^?1), limiting oxygen index (29.8%) and UL-94 rating (V-0) among the prepared foams. In addition, the incorporated pBS (6 wt%) could synergistically catalyze the formation of a silicon–boron strengthened ceramic-like protective layer under fire and was capable of suppressing heat and smoke production in the SRF-pBS6 foam. The present work provides a promising way for developing high mechanical and flame-retardant polymeric foam materials with good thermal insulation. © 2021 Society of Industrial Chemistry.
